Each participant of the course will be asked to bring at least one open case suitable for topics covered in the course. This will be presented within group work sections. Group work schedules will be available before the course in Brno.
Deadline for case studies: TBA
Instructions for preparing case studies:
- Format: Individual work only (1 student = 1 case). Max. 10–12 slides and 10-minute limit + discussion.
- Case Type: Highly preferred "open" cases (patients awaiting epilepsy surgery decision, not yet operated).
- Scalp EEG and seizure video (if available) are required. Use live software on your laptop or embed video files and EEG screenshots.
- Brain MRI (or CT) is highly advisable. Prefer the whole MRI study (on laptop/CD) over a few static slides.
- Use the attached template as a flexible guide. Missing data is fine. Main goal is to summarize your localization hypothesis and formulate questions about the planned surgical approach.
